After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004, Dr. Stalla went on to work 5 years as a Psychiatric Rehabilitative Services Coordinator in Chicago, IL for adults with chronic mental illnesses. There she recognized the importance of diet, lifestyle, and the integration of both physical and mental health in order to establish wellness. In search for her calling in life, it was while visiting Bastyr University in Seattle, WA that she discovered naturopathic medicine and knew this was where she must continue her education.
Named as one of the best medical schools in the country by Princeton Review and the only university included of seven accredited naturopathic medical instituions, Bastyr University is a non-profit accredited private university recognized globally for its rigorous curriculum, comprehensive clinical training, and strong groundbreaking research. Dr. Stalla has personally accrued over 1,100 hours of clinical shift rotations and preceptorship hours working alongside doctors in the northwest community. She has been instrumental in helping nearly 600 patients achieve better health during her time in Seattle-based clinics.
Dr. Stalla is now ready to bring her expertise in the fields of health and wellness to the greater Kankakee area. She will tailor her therapies to meet the individual needs of each patient, factoring in physical, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects before providing her recommendations.
Along with establishing her practice, she is a writer and editor of Project Michelangelo's Angel Rising Magazine and is certified in Biological Medicine.
